THE RALPH MINE DISASTER

On 12 September 1914 an explosion at the Ralph Mine, in the centre of Huntly township, led to the deaths of 43 men. This booklet describes that explosion using inquest evidence, the coroner’s report, newspaper articles, photographs and material from the subsequent Royal Commission of Inquiry.
